About

Julia's work is mainly inspired by the flair of retro children's books. Yet she translates these paper-cut shapes and bold colours into a graphic, concise style to create artwork in a modern way. Her background as a long-time graphic designer in advertising, children's products and food brings her skills in page and package design, as well as a specialisation in hand lettering. Her interest in the essence and life stories of people makes her passionate about portraits and caricatures. She is a music enthusiast and deals a lot with ecological, social and political issues, which is also reflected in her art.

Julia is a proud mum of two kids, two cats and a horse. Together with her husband she manages business and family life in the lovely suburbs of Vienna, Austria.
